How do I set up High Speed printing on the 32-bit version?

NOTE: You need Envelope Manager LE, Envelope Manager PAVE, or Alpha Mailer in addition to a high-speed printer to print high speed. You cannot print high speed using DAZzle Express, Direct Mail Manager, DAZzle Designer, or DAZzle Plus.

Envelope Manager supports several high speed envelope or label printers for high-volume mailers. Printing with these printers works very differently from other printers. They only print the address and bar code--no return address, postage indicia, graphic, rubber stamp, etc. This method does not use your DAZzle layout.

  1. Open a database that is already in presort order.
  2. Choose File|Print|Many Addresses-High Speed. Specify a range as usual.
  3. Choose your Printer Model and Queue from the drop-down lists.
  4. For Queue, choose your high speed printer from the drop-down list. If it is not listed, choose an item that uses the same printer port as your high speed printer. With some printers, you may have to define the Generic/Text Only printer driver for that port and choose it as your Queue.
  5. For Carrier Route, choose None Printed. Important: If you are doing a carrier route mailing, use the Optional Endorsement Line feature. Its carrier route endorsements are more accurate and current than the options listed here and they will work for high speed printing.
  6. Adjust the controls on the printer itself to position the address and bar code properly on the envelope.
  7. Choose OK to print.
